Software for small businesses, built by the person you talk to.

Websites, online stores, AI automation, and smart home and security systems. No agency, no hand-offs, no junior you never meet.

Describe your project

No price list. You get scope and cost in writing after one free conversation.

Websites

A site that brings in work, and that you can edit

Marketing sites and small web apps, written as real code rather than filled into a template.

  • Loads fast and works properly on a phone
  • Search engines and AI assistants describe you correctly
  • You can update the content yourself
The page you are on. Pre-rendered, no cookie banner, and measured live in your browser further down.

Online stores

A store you run, on a platform I built and keep running

Built and hosted on Orchard. A continuing relationship, not a handoff.

  • A real back office for orders, refunds, inventory and subscriptions
  • Payments go to your own account, never through mine
  • Hosted and looked after by me once it is live
Human Nature is live and taking real orders on this platform. How it was builtOpen the live site

AI & automation

Aimed at the job that costs you hours, not at a demo

It starts from a task someone does by hand every week. If AI is the wrong tool for it, I say so.

  • Quoting and estimating from your own pricing
  • Moving data between systems that do not talk to each other
  • Reading documents so nobody retypes them

Smart home & security

One designed system, not a drawer of gadgets

Design, installation, configuration, hand-off and ongoing support, for homes and small businesses.

  • One plan across lighting, climate, sensing, energy and access
  • Devices chosen so no single vendor can strand you
  • Automations documented so they can be changed later

Not a claim, a demonstration

Two things you can check right now

Try it on your own business

Three automation ideas for your business

Describe what you do in a sentence and get three specific ideas, generated live. Nothing you type is stored.

How it goes

From one email to something that keeps working

  1. 01

    You describe it

A few sentences by email. No spec needed.

  2. 02

    We talk, once, for free

About 30 minutes, free. You find out whether it is worth doing.

  3. 03

    You get it in writing

Scope, price and timeline in writing before any work starts.

  4. 04

I build it, in the open

You see working software as it goes, not a reveal at the end.

  5. 05

It goes live, and it keeps running

Launch, then maintenance if you want it. I do not disappear afterwards.

What makes a project bigger or smaller

Size
A five-page site is not a 200-product store.
Content readiness
Whether the words and photos already exist, or still need to be made.
Systems to connect
Each tool you already use that has to talk to it is its own piece of work.
After launch
Whether you want it looked after once it is live, or handed over.

Before you write

The questions everyone asks first

Do I own what you build?

Yes, all of it. Code, content, domain, and every account in your name, not mine. If you want to take it elsewhere later, you can, and I will help you move it.

How long does it take?

It depends on scope. A small website can take hours or days, a bigger one longer. A store also depends on how ready your products and photos are. AI work starts with one workflow and grows from there. Either way, you get a timeline in writing before anything starts.

What do you need from me?

Decisions and content, mostly. Someone who can answer questions within a day or two is worth more to the schedule than anything else. I can write and structure content, but I cannot invent what your business actually does.

I already have a website. Is it worth rebuilding?

Often not. Plenty of sites need a fix, not a replacement, and that is a much smaller conversation. I will tell you honestly which one you are looking at, including when the answer is that you should leave it alone.

Where are you, and does that matter?

Portland, Oregon. Website, store, and AI work happens remotely and location is irrelevant. Smart home and security work is hands-on with your house or business, so that is local.

Tell me what you are trying to build

A few sentences is enough. If it is not something I should take on, I will say so and point you somewhere better.

What is it about? optional

Goes straight to my inbox. Nothing is stored on this site and nothing is shared.
