Websites that load fast and say the right thing

For businesses that need a site to do a job: bring in enquiries, explain something complicated, or take a booking without a phone call.

What usually goes wrong

Most small business websites arrive in one of two shapes. A template somebody filled in over a weekend, which looks like a thousand others and gets slower every time a plugin is added. Or an expensive custom build that was fine on launch day and has not been touched since, because nobody left behind a way to change it.

Both end up in the same place eventually. Slow on a phone, describing a version of the business that no longer exists, and effectively invisible to anyone searching for what you actually do now.

How I do it

Written as real code rather than assembled from parts, which is why the pages here are delivered ready-made instead of being built in your browser after a script finishes downloading. That is most of the speed, and it is also why search engines and AI assistants read the content correctly rather than guessing at it.

Accessibility and structured data go into the build rather than arriving as a later audit and an invoice. Roughly one in five people has some impairment that affects how they use a site, and the work that serves them is the same work that makes a page legible to a search crawler.

The tradeoff is honest: this is not a drag-and-drop builder you can restructure yourself on a Sunday. You get a setup for changing words and images, and structural changes come back to me. If total self-service matters more to you than speed and craft, a builder genuinely is the better answer and I will say so.

  • Design and build, from information architecture through deployment
  • Performance and accessibility as build requirements, not a later audit
  • Structured data, so search engines and AI assistants describe you correctly
  • A content setup you can actually update yourself

Evidence for this specifically

Human Nature

A real store, running a real business.

Storefront, checkout, subscriptions, wholesale pricing, and the admin the owner works in every day. Not a demo and not a prototype. You can open it right now and buy something.

This site

You are already looking at a sample of the work.

Every page here is real HTML rendered ahead of time, so it loads fast and reads correctly to search engines and AI assistants. There is no cookie banner because nothing is tracking you that would need one. The assistant in the corner answers questions about my work from the site's own content.

Questions people ask about this

Can I update the site myself?
Text, images and prices, yes, and I set that up as part of the build. Adding a whole new section or changing how pages relate to each other comes back to me. That split is deliberate: it keeps the site fast and consistent, and it stops a small edit accidentally breaking a layout.
Will it work properly on a phone?
Yes, and it is tested there rather than assumed. Most small business traffic is phone traffic, so the phone layout is designed first and the desktop version follows from it, not the other way around.
What about search engines?
The technical side is included: real HTML, correct page titles and descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, and fast loading, which is a ranking factor in its own right. What I cannot sell you is a guaranteed position. Anyone promising one is either guessing or lying, and ongoing ranking work for a competitive term is its own commitment.
Do I have to move my domain or hosting?
Not necessarily, and if you do, everything stays in your name. The accounts are yours, the domain stays registered to you, and if you ever want to take the site elsewhere you can, with my help rather than despite me.

Tell me what you are trying to build

A few sentences is enough. If this is not the right fit I will say so and point you somewhere better.
